Your Team

Gene Bostic
Gene Bostic, 38, is a mechanic who was
born with grease in his veins. His father
owned several auto repair shops in Long
Island, New York. Gene grew up working
on cars after school, beginning at age
9, and began building his own engines
at the age of 13 (a '69 Camaro). Since
then, he has built and rebuilt hundreds
of engines and has competed as a race
car builder and driver. His attention
to detail, and need for perfection makes
him ideal for any mechanical work. He
treats every car like it was his own,
and his demands for quality show in
every car he works on.

Don Maurice
Don Maurice Jr., 35, is the thinking
man's mechanic. He and Gene grew up
together in Long Island and have been
friends for 30 years. Don will amaze
you with his knowledge of various car's
mechanical issues. Don has joined us
recently (after much begging from the
owner, who was duly impressed when Don
visited Gene one day). He has worked
at a variety of dealerships and is one
of those guys that take home shop manuals
to read, just to learn not only to fix
a particular problem.

Adrian Mungiu
Adrian
Mungiu, 40, is the owner/manager of
Corvette Specialists, Inc. His background
is in paint and body repair. After finishing
at The American University in Washington,
D.C. in 1989, he decided to remain in
the Northern Virginia, having been raised
in Philadelphia, working for a non-profit
think tank in Rosslyn, VA. After a year
he realized that he preferred working
with his hands as well as his mind and
decided to look for a new career. To
save up money for a car, he took a second
job at a car wash which led to him managing
the detailing department within two
months. From this he became a car painter
and worked as a car painter from 1991-2004.
Two months before Gig's passing, Gig
asked him to paint a corvette for a
customer. After Gig's passing, Georgia
asked Adrian to repair and paint several
cars that were at the shop before Gig
passed away. Adrian purchased the company
on Nov. 1, 2004. He was awarded the
"Volunteer of the Year" award
in 1999 by the National Kidney Foundation
of Washington, D.C. and participates
in other charities such as "National
Rebuilding Day" (formerly "Christmas
in April"). He believes very strongly
in private charitable giving of time
and money for improving the quality
of life of others. His other hobbies
include boating, competitive Chili Cooking,
photography, and gardening. More proof
that opposites attract-- his better
half, Karen, owns a new Volvo and an
old Beetle. No one's life is perfect,
right?

Terry Pinkney
Terry Pinkney, 38, learned from his
father, Reed, who was a mechanic also.
Terry began at 16 with his father, then
went to Old Dominion in Lynchburg, VA,
before going out on his own. He has
over 20 years of experience working
on cars. Formerly the manager and head
mechanic at two different shops and
has been a great addition to our team.
He grew up in Oxon Hill and aside from
his time at school has lived here his
whole life. You may see him at International
Raceway or Crofton in Md. racing his
car, an '89 Mustang (best time 12.22
on naturally aspirated). He is very
knowledgable about superchargers and
turbos and has installed them on cars
ranging from Hondas,Nissans and Mitsubishis
to Mustangs and of course, Chevys. He
also excels at electrical problem solving
and diagnostics.
